Commission Work
Here is some commission work I have done for clients. I have more, but due to privacy reasons some of my clients wish to not show the work I made for them. The ones here have been approved by my clients for me to present to others
This client of mine was generous enough to let me show the process of this commission. This client wanted a character commission I created for him in the past with my current style. I drew him 3 sketches, and he can choose whichever one he likes. He ended up loving the first one so we worked on that one. Despite the fact he didn't choose the other ones, he can keep those sketches for future use.
Down below are more versions before the final one was submitted. I showed my client the black-and-white version first before going into color. I did a hard light shadow to show the drawing in darks and lights. I did a few changes to one of the eyes and fur texture but he loved it overall. He wanted me to have a cyberpunk, RGB lighting feel to his character. I added some glow effects and went with more saturated colors. I made these multiple versions to show from grey to color, each had to be approved before moving to the next phases. The last phase was clean-up, which made me do some last detailed touch-ups and a simple background to make it all come together. My client was overjoyed with the results and reassured me he would come back again for more. I love doing commissions like these because I love making characters and drawings come to life and making my clients happy.
Sketch Commissons
Here is sketch commission work I have done for clients who just want something done to get by or something quick to have stylized by me. All commissions are unique and done in their own way, whether it's detailed (like the example below) or simplified (sketches after the example)
One of my clients approved of showing the process of sketch commissions with this one I made for him. I start with just a simple sketch with only black and white and no shading. I show this to my client first before moving forward (whether he wants it shaded or colored: he chose both at the end)
The next step is primarily shading and where certain colors are going to be. Darker shades of color will be shown to dark grey almost black and lighting shades of color with be shown as grey to almost white. I show this to the client before moving to color to see if any changes need to be made before moving on to the final part.
The Last step is to color, make a background, and some lighting for dramatic effects. I went with a gradient background to make the characters stand out more. I do communicate with my client much more back and forth to make sure it is exactly how he wants it to be. He was very pleased with the over all out come.
